No More Boring Morning Routines

The whiteboard assignments greeting students every morning--simple and impersonal but the only way teachers had to communicate those important morning jobs and information.  But one fifth grade teacher has found a way to break that cycle!  Lori Corbett writes the following about her class:
When the students enter the classroom, they read my daily  Edmodo post/message on the screen. The messages may contain things happening that particular day, journal response topics, as well as directions for them to complete. The kids later type their responses  after logging into their Edmodo accounts during the school day or when they get home. They seem to enjoy seeing how their peers responded.
Students are able to interact with Miss Corbett and each other in a way they couldn't before technology came along. By using Edmodo, Miss Corbett's students are seeing how people can collaborate in a business setting and helping each other to seek first to understand and then be understood.  Way to go Miss. Corbett's class for such amazing work!
